Clowns & Harlots Each Tuesday, we will be bringing you the latest wit and wisdom of Christopher Corbett through his article, Clowns & Harlots.  The title references H.L. Mencken's essay "On Living In Baltimore" which is contained in his Prejudices. Mencken was expressing his view of New Yorkers versus his higher opinion of the citizens of Baltimore - his home. He believed that New York was a city "fit only for the... business of getting money..." Here at The Taipan Group's Baltimore Headquarters, we like to think we'd make old H.L. proud by beating Wall Street at its own game.
About the Author
	With over 25 years as a working journalist, Mr. Corbett has written for The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and The Boston Globe. Author of the novels Vacationland (August 1986, Viking Adult) and Orphans Preferred: The Twisted Truth and Lasting Legend of the Pony Express (September 2004, Broadway Books), he lives in Baltimore and teaches journalism at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County.
