Investing in Retail Stocks...

It’s about that time to start thinking about what to invest in for the Christmas season.
Take a cue from last year: the big toys were Mattel Inc.’s (MAT:NYSE) Fisher-Price division’s laughing TMX Elmo and Hasbro Inc.’s (HAS:NYSE) modern day “Monopoly Here and Now” game. Both companies proved to be good investments around this time last year: MAT gained 57% and HAS gained 46% from October 2006 to April 2007.
I’m betting on Hasbro this year. It has a few new toys coming out including a new wireless Nerf target game as well as Transformers toys, still banking on the summer blockbuster movie.
HAS also makes what I think are killer toys this year: the Fur Real Friends line. These are different kinds of animals that look realistic and actually come to life.
Investing in Retail Stocks
Technically, HAS is coming back from a price dip and has gained long-term support yet again. And, for you fundamentalists out there, don’t despair: HAS is extremely healthy, with quarterly revenue growth of 31%, a profit margin of 7%, and return on equity of 16.35%.
Hasbro Inc. (HAS:NYSE) looks like it’s going to have another one of those solid year-end rallies. Since it just gained above its long-term support, a buy at its current price around $30 per share could give you at least a 33% gain into the second quarter of 2008 after it releases Christmas sales numbers.

“Secret IPO Registry Projected to Go From $14 up to $90
A remarkable new opportunity has just become available to individual investors. In short, you can own the biggest IPO winners (like MasterCard and Riverbed Technology) while avoiding the IPO “stinkers” (like Vonage), all with one simple and stress-free $14 investment.
It’s called the “Secret IPO Registry,” and never before has a single investment allowed you to profit off the best new companies on Wall Street without the risk or the hassle of “getting in” on each new IPO offering. Follow this link for the full details.
